It's official: Oxblood is this season’s must have colour. If you’re not confident enough to splurge out a statement piece in this seductive colour, perhaps sporting on your nails could be the next biggest thing? The muddied burgundy works as a statement accessory or as a staple fashion piece. This rather morbid colour will look fabulously crisp against London's cold grey weather or in a deep velvety fabric for a night out.

Orange is proving to be quite a popular colour this year, it being part of the title of Frank Oceans debut Album. So I thought I'd channel this fabulous colour on to my nails for a bright summery look... in winter. My nail polish of choice being Look Beauty's Fluoro which I picked up with two others during Superdrug's 3 for 2 offer, otherwise know and a blessing from God.

This bright fluorescent deep orange compliment most skin tones, however it looks especially beautiful on really pale tones for a classy crisp look or on deeper tones for a warm summery glow. This sleek rich colour is perfect for making a statement with your outfit, whether you use it to brighten up a drab grey work outfit or contrast it against it a brightly coloured top.

I have nothing but adoration for Look Beauty perfection of the nail polish formula. They have the perfect balance between thick, opaque yet spreadable. In two coats this polished dries quickly to a shiny glossy smooth finish. This nail polish looks especially good against silver accents, Andrea Fulerton Nail Tattoo Chains, as pictured above or maybe a gold leaf for an alternative vintage look.

R-L: Revlon Scene Stealer, Look Beauty Fluoro
The Look Beauty Packaging is super cute, original and retro. The brush is quite good for a mid-priced nail polish. It allows you the spread the polish with ease across the nail in three quick strokes. It doesn't leave horrible streaks, but that may be down to the formula.

I chose to a half and half chain feature nail with this look using the wonderful nail tattoos designed by Andrea Fulerton. Chains are a growing trend in the nail world, and I feel the silver accent perfectly complimented the sheer translucide polish, Revlon Scene Stealer.

Is this too orange?

On a bit of a mad one, this evening... and thought I'd share some pictures of these cute cupcakes I made at a Cupcake Truffle Workshop a couple of weeks ago. My college took me on the trip as a part of an introduction to CAS... IB privileges. As you can see I was extraordinarily creative using numerous colours of butter cream icing, spray paint and other sparkly bits and bobs. As they say Rome wasn't built in a day but I think I done an amazing job considering I had only just learnt how to use a piping bag. I think its safe to say cupcake decorating isn't my forte. They tasted amazing too.
