As promised, today I am reviewing the Body Shop’s Pink Grapefruit Lip Butter. I have been using this product for about two weeks and can say it is absolutely amazing. The condition of my lips has completely transformed, no exaggeration, from dry and ashy to soft and supple.

The formula is a very thick buttery one; however in warmer weather it softens and becomes less hard. When applied to your lips it instantly melts in and is so easily absorbed. Unlike most other lip balms and butter, this one contains no petroleum or miner oil meaning that this doesn’t just sit on top of your lips it fully moisturises your lips giving a slight sheen to them. The ingredient list makes me tear up its so beautiful, it contains wonderfully natural ingredients such as Shea Butter, Beeswax and Castor Oil.

Like all Body shop products the pink grapefruit scent is gorgeous. It smells so sweet, fruity and delicious enough to eat, I may have tasted it a couple of times just to make sure. Surprisingly, it does taste alright because I personally hate it when lip products taste awful... it ruins my whole mood. The packaging is so cute and small and fits comfortably into bags, purses and pockets.

On the Body Shop website it claims to offer ‘instant hydration’ and ‘leave lips soft and smooth’ which it actually does. It also last for about 6 hours before you need to top up, and even then I don’t really need to reapply I just like the scent.

Lucky for me I only purchased it for £1 after I used my £3 off voucher, but I would definitely repurchase this product as it is awesome and seems like it will last a long time as I have barley even made a dent in it.

This summer I have noticed this fearsome trend creeping back into high street shops and I love it. These bold daring prints make such loud statements whatever you wear them with. They can be styled with other prints or with basic block colour either way your look will be raging with attitude once you adorn your outfit with one of these beasts.

Once again, I over did it at Poundland when I discovered these cute little balms from New York Colour. I picked up the four colours, Sugar Kissed, Sugar Coated, Sugar Baby and Sugar Fairy. I love the packaging of these, its so compact and easy to drop into your pocket or bag when your in a rush.

L-R: Sugar Coated (509A), Sugar Kiss (510A), Sugar Fairy (513A), Sugar Baby (512A)
The name of these 'lip balms' is quite deceiving because they have the formula of a lip gloss. The lip glosses are thank fully not too sticky however it is best to avoid eating anything that produces crumbs when wearing them. Its quite thick and glooply meaning it will last about 4 hours on your lips before you'll need to reapply. They can be applied thinly for a sheer subtle look during the day time and applied more heavily in the evening for a bold glossy lip

L-R: Sugar Coated, Sugar Kiss, Sugar Fairy, Sugar Baby

The lip glosses are quite moisturising but its a safer bet to apply a lip balm underneath to give your lips a smother appearance.  Unlike most lip gloss/balms these have pretty good ingredients such as Castor Oil, Jojoba Oil, Olive Oil, Grape Seed Oil, Cocoa Butter and Shea Butter.

This weeks Wednesday Wishes is in homage to the Ombre Dip Dye trend of 2012 that I refuse not to rinse. The ombre trend explores a range of different shades and colours and tones that are so easily paired with block coloured shorts and tops. A simple dip dyed piece of clothing can turn any outfit into a trendy summer getup.

This week I was feeling a tad bit girly and went for a nice pink, bright colours seem to make my revision seem a bit more fun is. Desperate times = desperate measures. I managed to pick this polish up on offer at boots 2 for £4 and I'm glad I did otherwise I wouldn't have noticed their fabulous make up rage.

17 Fast Finish Pink Lemonade reminds me of a pinky coral shade perfect for summer and amazingly easy to match with any outfits. Every girl needs a good pink in their nail polish collection or more so every unhealthy nail polish addict... I confess.

Review

Firstly, I love the design of this brush as it makes it so easy to apply the nail polish quickly and with a perfect finish. However the formula is really sheer and needs three coats to become completely opaque. Me being me, I gave up in two coats thus resulting in the sheer look. On the plus side, the fact that it is so translucent means it can be used as a french manicure colour.

Once again I have succumbed to the power of the ombre trend, my love for it grows deeper and deeper every day. Drama aside if your interest in creating this look I wrote a tutorial HERE. Warning my toes are heavily featured in that post.
